Banana-Walnut Chocolate Chip Cookies

I love being home.  And now without readings, essays, labs, and other schoolwork, it leaves more time for baking! I don't know if this is a good or bad thing... haha

But anyways.  I found a recipe for Banana-Walnut Chocolate Chip Cookies!

I like this recipe, because it is like a chocolate chip cookie and a slice of banana bread mixed into one.  And... well... by now you should know how much I love banana bread.

Enjoy!

Banana-Walnut Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 large egg
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 cup mashed ripe banana (about 1 large banana)
1 cup oats
About 1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup toasted, chopped walnuts

Directions
Preheat oven to 375F.
Mix flours, salt, and baking soda in small bowl; set aside.
Beat butter and sugar in large bowl until light and fluffy.
Add egg, vanilla, banana, and flour mixture.
Stir in oats, chocolate chips, and walnuts.
Drop dough on ungreased baking sheet about 1 inch apart.
Bake for about 8-9 minutes (until edges are light-brown) and cool on wire rack.

Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
