I have yet to bake Oatmeal Raisin Cookies for the blog, so I decided yesterday was the day.

I didn't want to make just regular old Oatmeal Cookies, though, so I made babies!

See what I mean?

Perfect little bite-sized babies!  So I called them Oaties... instead of Oatmeal Raisin.  At least that's what I'm calling them for now... unless I come up with a better name.

Any suggestions? Leave a comment! :)

Happy baking!

1/2 cup (1 stick) + 6 tbsp. softened butter
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
3 cups oats (quick or old fashioned)
1 cup raisins

Preheat oven to 335F (for oaties) or 350F (for regular sized).
Beat butter and sugars in large bowl until creamy.
Add eggs an vanilla; beat well.
Add flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt and mix; add oats and raisins.
Drop by teaspoonfuls (tablespoonfuls for regular sized cookies) and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.

Makes about 8 dozen Oaties (4 dozen regular sized)
