Baking With Bailey: Giant Cookie Cake

I have a cousin named Bailey.  She loves to bake too!  One thing that she's really good at though... that I'm not so great at.. is cake.  Yes.  She can make amazinggg cakes.  Check it out!

Yes, I know.  She's amazing.

And check out these roses... so good!

And this cake!

Basically, I'm just jealous of her cake-making abilities.  Sooooo I stick to cookies :)

Anyways, to the story.  This week I was in Arizona visiting some family, andddd guess what Bailey and I did?

Nooo.... not sit around and watch movies.  Okay.. maybe we did do that... but we did other stuff too...

Lay out by the pool until we were sunburnt? Yeah... okay we did that too... but that's not what I'm thinking of...

We couldn't decide what to make.. so we combined cookies and cake into one! And we made a giant chocolate chip m&m cookie cake!

These pictures definitely do NOT do this giant cookie justice... because this cake/cookie/whatever we made tasted amazing.

All we did was follow the Nestle Tollhouse Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe, but baked it all together in a cake pan!

Here's the recipe :)

Chocolate Chip M&M Cookie Cake

1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 large eggs
2 1/4 cup flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup M&Ms

Preheat oven to 375F; Grease 10in cake pan.
Beat butter, sugars, and vanilla in large bowl until creamy.
Add flour, baking soda, and salt into large bowl; Mix.
Add eggs; Then add chocolate chips and M&Ms.
Drop dough into cake pan; Spread evenly.
Bake for about 25 minutes (you may need to bake longer; until toothpick comes out clean).

Ours came out a little doughy in the center... we only baked for about 22 minutes.. but let's just say people still ate it... and loved it :)
